  • choose a similar number as your Office no or fax no
  • Look for numbers that mean something if you use the alphanumerical numbers on the telephone. Your name or business
  • Yes, Once you have received your free fax to mail account with your gmail email address, you may send emails to a fax number from your gmail account.

    You will need to have credits available to be able to fax from gmail.

    Please note that receiving faxes is only available from South Africa - a limitation by Telkom.

    There are 3 ways of doing this:

    Print2fax - allows you print to our fax server directly from within any windows application.

    Email2Fax - allows you to fax documents directly from your normal email client.

    Web2Fax - allows you to fax documents directly from our website.

    All 0866 numbers from local providers are only routable within the Borders of South Africa - a constraint by Telkom.

    There's no delay. The moment you complete the sign-up process the number is allocated and activated, ready to take faxes and send them to your email.

    You will however receive an email that you need to accept.

    Yes, You need to download the free driver after you have received your login details. After you have installed the driver you will be able to send faxes by printing from your application to the email to fax printer.

    This will then ask for the number to send to and you will be able to save these numbers to your address book.

    The FAX can be sent as a TIF image,PD or PS attached to an email. Most operating systems have a default viewer application installed to view TIF images.     No. We reserve the right to reclaim a number if there has been no usage for 60-days. You will receive a warning email prior to the number being reclaimed. As long as you receive at least one fax every 60-days the number will remain yours.

    Please go through this list to establish the problem.

    It is possible that your email client have send the confirmation email to your spam folder. Check folders like spam, junk E-mail etc on the date you have requested the fax number.

    You may have entered a wrong email address. Resubmit your request it will tell you if the email is already registered or will send a new confirmation email you will have to choose a new fax number. You may also send a request here if you suspect you have entered the wrong email address and wish to keep the fax number you have requested.

    Was the mail from an international source. If so Telkom have a restriction from international faxes please use your landline for International faxes.

    SecureFax earns revenue through a rebate system from Telkom for calls made to the allocated numbers.This revenue is sufficient for SecureFax to support this fax reception service at no charge to the end user, yet still delivering a corporate level service.

    Unfortunately it is NOT FREE. For this service you need to purchase credits. Login, and follow the procedure.

    If you choose a SecureFax number (08660xxxxx) you don't pay a cent. NO SETUP , NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This service will remain FREE and there is no limit to the number and size of faxes received
